Sweetheart, Spikes & Studs

My killer studded envelope clutch from Nine West and metal spiked pumps from Zara add a rock edge to my simple sweetheart-neckline American-eagle dip-dye dress. Spikes and studs are actually new entrants to my wardrobe and I feel they can be overwhelming at times so I cling to the safety of shoes and bags for starters. Taking a usual day look to night is what it eventually does. I love sweetheart-necklines so much that I don’t feel the need of a necklace. Just leaving it bare with all its sweetness and subtle sexiness. I also find them figure flattering, feminine and wearable unless daringly low. Will wear this look again…very soon!! 

Shirt up!!..and flowers

A white shirt certainly signifies the advent of summer and my first one that finds a place here is a Gap boyfriend fit. The over-size trend is still strong and extra points for that effortlessly relaxed look. Styling a white shirt is so much fun. There is no dearth of a perfect bottom. I pep it up with a sheer floral and frilly skirt from Guess. The embellished Accessorise bag and the flower patterned Hush Puppies flats go well with the skirt. I complete this look with a thin leaf patterned silver necklace from Accessorise again. Pleasant and perfect!!

Going Short

White shorts, an ultimate summer staple, is something that helps pull off a day-time glamourous look easily. Patterns on shorts are not unusual to find these days like I did on these Mango shorts. With shorts being too tiny, I team it with a full sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up. The tan floral shirt is Terranova and the tiny sling bag is Promod. For the footwear, I break away from the usual flats and try these wooden Sisley slip-ons with a tan buckle to go with the rest of the outfit.

The Pretty Reds

You don’t have to let go of everything that is old. Add freshness to an old outfit with a brand new accessory. I still can’t let go of this Duck & Cover short strappy dress with red flowers printed on a perfectly light green fabric with white lace lining. To that I am adding a brand new red pig leather bag from Hidesign and a pair of red catwalk slippers with pleated straps. A perfect summer afternoon look. The leather bag is my absolute favourite. And there is so much you can do with just one perfect leather bag!!

My Summer Love: Florals

Hello everyone! Summertime is my favorite time of the year and I am pleased to start my blog with this theme. Summer sets you free when it comes to clothing. Casual and comfortable is the way to go. To beat the heat, short cotton dresses become my most obvious choice for all day chores, shopping, lunch etc. etc. Whether it comes in bright colours or in pastels, it works perfectly for the summers. 

This is one of my favorite Tally dresses. I simply love the cut, the length and the smocking on the bust which is both form fitting and flexible leading to complete comfort. For a dress this kind, I go for slippers keeping it simply casual. I pair it with a simple white dotted sling bag from Sisley. My silver slippers and ultra light earrings are both from Accessorize. Neutralising on accessories keeps the focus on the florals.
